So What?

The biggest challenge we face as Christians is understanding Christianity. Most people follow their own God. A God of their imagination. What they imagine God would expect of them if they happened to ask Him. And off they go into bliss.

If thoughtlessness is bliss, you may conclude rightfully that we have a massive number of Christians who are not thinking. I dare you to offer a thoughtless individual any kind of thoughtful help. Help to understand misguided beliefs. Most will tell you directly that help is not needed, without giving it any thought. If you were to give them a gentle corrective suggestion they will usually make a stand and rebel against you. And this is the problem.

Modern Christians want to put what I just said into a different light and tone. They would say:

Christianity's richness lies in its diverse interpretations. While some might see this as confusion, it can be a strength, offering various paths to connect with God. Despite interpretations differing, core Christian values like love, compassion, and service can unite us. Understanding Christianity is a lifelong journey. Open discussions within faith communities can foster deeper understanding and growth for everyone.

So you ask, what's the problem? The problem is something has to change because what we keep doing is not working. The core message of Christianity is Christ Jesus. The fundamental idea of being a Christian is to have a relationship with Christ. It starts with Jesus and moves forward with Jesus. The problem is the message is not sinking in, no one is getting it, it's way too hard to think about. People are failing God and Christianity. Brick and mortar is yielding to the world along with the Church body. We have to overcome the idea of a once-a-week Church visit to please God. The answer to the problem is not simple and it's easy to recognize the impact but the only way to change the practice is to take a different approach.

The 24/7 access combined with the unlimited resources for bible study makes the internet an ideal approach for people to experience Christian fellowship. What I mean by Christian fellowship is group-mentored edification. The focus has to be on Christians, there has to be separation from the non-believers. This is the only way to filter out all the internet and worldly trash. Then, God's children can fellowship in a secure bible based group so they can speak freely about Jesus.

Group email is, in my humble opinion, the only simple way to accomplish this. There will be challenges but the Spirit of Jesus is the strength, the truth, and the life that will make it work.
